Lucie Bilodeau replied:
Yes, he was. The painting was a commission. I sent a selection of beautiful pictures I took of that lion that I could used as references to create a painting and I sent the picture of the lion with his tongue out as a joke. It turned out that my client selected that image for his portrait. :-)
