Artist's Description

One of the first places I ever went fishing was on the Grand Union Canal at Slapton in Buckinghamshire, England. Canals are man-made waterways that were once a very important part of the transport system, but nowadays are mainly used for leisure purposes. Narrow-boats were the means of transport and in this painting, one is just approaching a lock at Slapton. This in turn, is influencing my ideas for paintings. Anybody visiting my website, will find a real mixture of styles and mediums and I believe, something for everybody. The reason that I paint or take...
