I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

This tote bag is gorgeous! I saw a picture of it and had to have it. The colors are just beautiful. The size is better than I expected, because it's larger than I had envisioned it. It is practical and functional as well as beautiful. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Snake fence in Yorktown, Viginia.
In colonial Virginia, fences were built around the crops to keep out the livestock. Where did the livestock go? In the woods surrounding the cultivated fields! Why? The animals could be branded or otherwise marked for owner identification and cleared land was often limited.
Fences also defined property lines and protected all types of rural and urban spaces, such as churchyards, gardens, and work yards.
Ownership of land was very important. Fences meant the land was already owned!
