Item was lost in transit. Tough figuring out how to contact Fine Art. Finally received 6 weeks after placing order. Then received the original shipment.

I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Artist's Description

In 1991 I was able to travel to Mazatlan, Mexico to view a total solar eclipse. It was a most awesome event and if you ever get the chance to view one, do not miss it! If you live in the United States, you will. There is one coming to a street corner near you in 2017, more about that later. Unlike lunar eclipses, total solar eclipses are localized and short. If you are lucky enough to be in the umbra like I was, you will see totality. If you are in the penumbra, you will only see a partial and if you are not in the darker umbra or lighter penumbra, you will miss the whole thing entirely. Eclipses are part of a cycle called the Saros which repeats itself every eighteen years causing varying lengths of complete totality depending on where in the cycle the eclipse is located. If near the middle as this one was, eclipses of long duration can occur. By long, I mean up to seven and one half minutes for a big one. The event I saw in 1991 long one by these standards, six minutes and...

About Jon Burch Photography

Photography is all about using light to capture the emotion and the beauty of a fleeting moment. For me, this adventure began with a single spring image using a small Kodak film camera of a freshly watered central Kansas ditch and has come full circle using modern digital techniques. My first camera was an old 35mm Yashica, acquired by trading an ancient Royal typewriter to a fellow college student who was desperate to finish a term paper. It was a long time ago and that camera was my passport to an art that has fascinated me ever since. I owned a professional studio in central Kansas for 20 years until I sold the business and moved to Colorado. Part of the studio's early success came from creating outdoor...
