This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

A Joker is part of the Series Life is a Game - and we know from history that it was found in connection with playing cards.
For me it is not a real person, its an Art-Figure. A synonymus for Luck - we are often (or always?) longing and fighting for - also for Hope.
Most of my Jokers are women and I show them sparkling, unstable, simply the Capricious Luck - like it is in a Game. Sometimes they are full of laughter and pride, sometimes they are lost in thoughts. They know their role.
And here - listening a Serenade and dreaming that someday, the fictional character transformes into a real human..........................
