Back story to my purchase...This bird showed up at my house on the 28th of November. It is not native to Vermont! He came every day to my back deck where I fed the other birds in the area, bunking out in the bottom floor of my barn when the weather became very harsh (Vermont Winters!) Unfortunately he did not survive a week of below zero weather at night, and blustery cold winds and highs in the single digits during the day that we had mid-January. I was crushed. I have no idea where he came from but enjoyed his presence for many many weeks. My purchase captured him perfectly. Gone but never forgotten. Thank you for my daily reminder of a stranger who became a friend.

Here's another Frankenstein.. different parts from different photos. I believe there are pieces from Cincinnati, Akron and San Diego Zoo, with odd parts from Cleveland and Columbus. In a private collection.

01-19-21: I had micro-surgery on my spine and was told to take it easy. Avoid leaving the house, lifting anything heavier than 10 pounds not a good idea, bending and twisting. Understand why I had this done: L4-L5 were not stable and were causing me constant pain. I'm still at the healing stage but do have an appointment on Feb. 2.. I'll have more info at that point... and thanks for your understanding. 09-24-19: Just to let you know.. I had surgery on my finger in January - the joint is now frozen, which is extremely helpful. Although I will probably never be able to work as long on individual pieces - at least I'm back at it. I take my time but still enjoy the creativity as much as always. Nice! Wonderful composition and use of color, particularly the violet! This has a great sense of depth and perspective. Losing a few edges here and there, maybe on the tips of the ears and occasionally around the face would connect it to the background and enhance that sense of depth. Very nice eyes!
