Description
The Spad XIII was the mainstay of american fighter squadrons during WW1. Many of the U.S. aces scored the majority of their kills on this type. High scoring aces were Eddie Rickenbacker and Frank Luke who chose the Spad XIII for his Balloon Busting missions. The Spad was rugged, mounted two synchronized machine guns and was powered by the reliable hispano-suiza engine. The aircraft depicted was flown by Frank Luke.
