Originally inspired by a photograph I took of this flower in my backyard. If you click on the center of the image, you can see amazing texture details in metallic applied as pollen. Original hand painting can be ordered in oil, see details of size and price under "Originals".

Why digital and not "real"? I am a "green" artist. I had my share of oil and tempera (my favorite mediums) for a number of years in my youth but as my children were born I realized how much toxic materials I am working with! I now paint nearly exclusively digitally. The effect is nearly the same without harming the environment as intensely as oil paint does. I also prefer to not kill trees if I don't have to. I hope you agree that art remains art regardless if digital or oil on canvas or paper.
