This Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly just landed on the purple lupine or host plant inside the Desert Botanical Garden's Butterfly Exhibit in Phoenix, Arizona. This view is of its' underwings which shows off the bright orange spots and blue areas predominant on the hind wings. The upper side of the wings reveals brilliant blue areas on the hindwings with lighter blue-white spots along the outer fringes.
