Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

Artist Statements Encaustic and Mixed Mediums I use purified Beeswax with dried pigment and damar crystals (tree resin) for hardening. I heat the wax to a molten point where I can apply the wax as liquid to a rigid surface such as masonite or wood, coated card stock or absorbant paper. Each layer is fused to the next with a heat source, thus a commitment to the composition evolves. I work spontaneously as I create the composition. The process may include techniques such as ironing, carving, embedding materials, transfer techniques, stamping, drawing and painting. It is gorgeous, AND there are more things in it than are dreamed of in your philosophy (i.e. all of human 'scientific' knowledge) paraphrasing something Hamlet told his best friend Horatio. That pretty well applies to all your beautiful paintings, Heather (To any 'unbeautiful' ones, too, I'll bet if any one were mean-spirited - or empty of spirit, impossible, I know, but should anyone judge it so the problem would be in THEIR beholding eyes, etc.!).
