It's a delight to find my shooting stars in Contemporary Florals. These seem so ancient, so primitive, so private from gardens or vases....so upside down wild....secretive and one with mystery and nature. I think that's why I left them so bare and unfinished....having their own spring ballet.

This is just gorgeous, Nancy!!! So graceful, elegant, and beautiful!!! :)))vf

Many thanks, Laurie. I love wildflowers!

Wow, nice to become acquainted with this unique plant, LF

Thanks, Angela. I just photographed some snow drops this week...another very sweet wildflower!

I just wrote it's description. Somehow I lost the name...shooting star...such a nice name for a wildflower! Thanks, Lenore!

This is beautiful Nancy! And I love the title! Perfect! l/f!

It does look like the flowers are wearing ballet slippers! On point!

Lovely work!

Many thanks, Sarah. This felt like spring!

Amazing Nancy

Thanks, Jeff! Hope someone can give me their name!

This is a great picture. Shout out to John Boyd on his photography. The print of this however is blurry and I’m disappointed. The original picture is not blurry, so I’m not sure why the print is.

Prints look good. I had mine rolled in a tube and the caps to the tube are stapled with an industrial type staple. Impossible to take out without distroying the tube or cutting the cap off. Please change before product gets damage or injuries result from trying to remove a staple.

The Enterprise sailing ship is a beautiful drawing. It will look fabulous with the other Enterprise renderings.

Michael Penny is awesome. You will love the entire collection

This drawing is amazing. The artist captured the essence of the space shuttle.

The Enterprise is exactly what I wanted and will look great with the other Enterprise drawings

Artist's Description

What beautiful wildflowers! The shooting star plant is native to North American valleys and mountains, wetlands, prairie gardens and especially in oak forests. A member of the primrose family, they bloom from May to June and can be grown in your garden but need bees to pollinate. Also there will be no flowers the first year, the best by the third year.

About Nancy Kane Chapman

I began my love for art by watching my mother paint in oils and pastels. I must have caught the bug because I have enjoyed fifty years of drawing, painting and photography, urged on and instructed by professors, a botanist, a master of Chinese brush painting and calligraphy, water colorists and lately, mixed media devotees. After a course in cubism in 1973 I began to explore pen and ink geometric art. Each stroke was unplanned but exact, the designs becoming more elaborate and more fun to execute. First circles, then onward to straight lines, then organic and architectural constructions. Thirty years later I still dance out on the white space of a simple sheet of paper to weave new drawings. Picasa effects allow me to...
