I painted this scene en plein air in California's Joshua Tree National Park.
About Holly Douglas
A long-time resident of the Morongo Basin of California, Holly has been drawing and painting all her life. Since earning a BA in Art from CSU Long Beach she has been a graphic artist, retail fixture designer, and art teacher. An avid traveler, her en plein air landscapes and photographs are from her trips and workshops throughout her native state of California, and also New Mexico, Colorado, Washington, Canada, Fiji, the Cook Islands, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Norway, and Italy. Her paintings are in numerous private collections in the Western United States. In additional to painting and photography, she also enjoys graphic design and jewelry making.
