The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
This is a water pipeline conveying water to a power plant below Toketee Falls on the North Fork of the Umpqua River. The pipeline is 12 feet in diameter, is made of ceder tongue and groove planking. This pipeline has been in place since the late 1940's and will have a pressure leak every so often. Just past the view of this photo, the pipeline enters into a solid basalt rock mountain.

Kevin thanks for the comment, and I like your site. This photo was taken on 5-9 of this year at Toketee, where the line goes into the mountain and drops down to the power house, thereby bypassing Toketee Falls.
