Keewatin means "Blizzard of the North" in the language of the Cree Indians of Canada. The S.S. Keewatin was built in Scotland and arrived in Montreal, Canada in Sept.1907. Retired from service Nov.1965. Arrived in Douglas, Michigan in June 1967 and became a maritime museum. It returned to it's original home port in Georgian Bay Ontario Canada to Port McNioll in June 2012. Captured on film by Ketchman in Douglas, Michigan. (Lake Kalamazoo)
