This piece was originally dedicated to my sweet cats Danny & Margo, and to all who love and advocate for cats. It is now also dedicated to Pumpkin, loved and lost; and to my darling Reacher.
The art is based on a photo I took, and was created in Adobe Illustrator. I drew and colored each little shape that makes up this image. No filters were involved.

Kris Hackleman graduated from Marshall University with a masters degree in art in 1984. Since then she has built up a large portfolio of editorial illustration, portraiture, and wildlife art. She has used various mediums, but in the last 10 years has come to love creating images on the computer. Lately she has turned her attention to dogs, and to the human-animal bond. There are more dogs and other creatures to come, and what else? For one thing, she has a series drawn from the farmers market in the works. Stay tuned...
