About Jon Dickson
I was born and raised in Illinois. At seventeen I found myself in the military. I spent the majority of my career in Europe, mostly in Germany and Greece. Living and working there was the perfect backdrop for developing my photographic skills. I am largely self-taught and my early experiences with a 35mm camera revolved around composition rather than the technical aspects of photography. After a rather lengthy hiatus from photography I have only recently "re-discovered" the art. And oh, my what a passion I now have! My objective is to convey, through art, my interpretation of the world around me. To that end, I use a variety of cameras, software, and printers.
