This image is of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice at night, with a little bit of water in the foreground. If you look closely, yo will see a series of little pools going into the background. This is because these are the locations of drains. When St. Mark's floods the water comes up through these drains. You can see one of the drains in the nearest pool, in the center.
Also note that I did not add or subtract anything from the picture. Some of the people look almost like they were added. They were there when the picture was taken, and must have stood still long enough to come out. What is unusual is that there is no shadow - there was very little light, and no shadows showed up. You can see that many of the people are just blurs because this is a picture taken with the shutter open for around 20 seconds or more.
