Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
The parish church of St. Ricarius at Aberford in West Yorkshire.
The old church, dedicated in 1456 and described by Sir Stephen Glynne as 'only a nave and chancel with western tower and spire...', with the exception of the tower was demolished in 1861, and rebuilt by Salvin (who also worked at Sherburn-in-Elmet) in 1861-2 and 1891. Photographs were taken in 1946 of photographs that had been taken during the demolition (Ryder reproduces three of these (plates 33, 148, 149)). The tower still has a few original (very worn) corbels and there is a small Norman window reset in the N wall of the chancel.
