The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

The original Omega went into production in September 1986, as a replacement for the Opel Rekord. The body was designed as an evolution of the previous Opel design theme engineered more towards aerodynamics. The result was a remarkable drag coefficient of 0.28 (0.32 for the Caravan). (Wikipedia)
