The Texas State Railroad runs an antique steam train between Rusk, Texas and Palestine, Texas through the piney woods for passengers' enjoyment.
About Stan A Williams
Stan A. Williams worked as a lead photographer for Texas Highways Magazine for over sixteen years, concurrently running a studio out of his home in Smithville, Texas until a car wreck forced him to retire in October of 2010. He now pursues the craft as a personal pleasure and can devote time and energy to the pursuit of those photos that he finds the most interesting to develop. A lot of his shots are digital and are manipulated to his personal vision in Photoshop, which he has been using since the Beta 1 version in 1989. He still shoots film in his Eastman Kodak 5x7 view camera, taking about 30 minutes per shot. He collects old cameras and has a wonderful assortment dating back to the late 1800's. An earlier part of his career...
