They mention the steep, cobblestone lanes and sets of stone stairs. The distances are short in the historic part of town but the direction always seems to be up! Isn�t this what you visit Europe for? Notice the Catalan flag. Catalonia has a distinct culture of its own and residents proudly fly its flag and speaks its distinct language.
