The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?
Artist's Description
I painted this in 1962, shortly out of art school. This is one of my favorites as I thoroughly enjoyed noodling it until completion. Opaque water colors (now called "gouache") are quite fun to work with! It had been 'lost' in my daughter's basement for a number of years until found recently. People marvel over the details, some say they'd like to flip open the lid on the stein with their thumb.
Should you decide to order a print I would suggest it be printed on paper to more emulate the original.
