What a great shot. The use of black and white puts a lot of emotion into this photo. I even like the graininess of the sky, it seems to add a sense of history or age.

Thank you, Ursa.

Gorgeous!

Dave Wilkinson does exceptional work. This was a special purchase - a Christmas gift for my daughter to hang in her new office in celebration of her promotion. As I am a professional arborist, the maple leaf in the photo was very appropriate. If you haven't checked out Dave's work, please take the opportunity to do so. You won't be disappointed.

This painting is the first thing you see when you enter my home. It is a place where I visit often in daily life, and an inspirational perspective of that place. It is stunning and colorful, yet peaceful and breathtaking. Kudos to Erin Hanson for a marvelous piece of artwork.

These paintings by Erin Hanson were vibrant and alive with joy. They are in my dining room and bring warmth and joy to all who come into my home. I think Erin iHanson is a very gifted painter and love her work so much. I have the left and right of this painting and they are framed on each side of a hutch with two mirrors. It is beautiful and delightfully sensual.

I can't say enough about J. W. Baker and the feelings that are captured in his paintings. I love his work and look forward to seeing more. This painting is also in my office, and looks over me throughout my day.

I have painted this face many times before. He came from my third eye, and when I saw this, I was overwhelmed with joy. Another fantastic image that guides my life.

Artist's Description

Image is a black and white rendition of the restored historic San Rafael Church in La Cueva, New Mexico. Dramatic storm clouds add to the moodiness of the image. La Cueva is an unincorporated community on the Mora River in Mora County, New Mexico. It was established in 1851 by Vicente Romero who found the nearby location of Fort Union provided both protection from the Apache and a market for his crops. Legend has it that he named the village La Cueva (Spanish for "the cave") because he lived in a nearby cave while he was building his ranch house. He and his neighbors prospered and he built a grist mill in the early 1860s. La Cueva had a post office from 1868 until 1961. The La Cueva Historic District became a United States registered historical district in 1973 and preserves 470 acres, including the mill, the original San Rafael Church, a mercantile (store), the 1851 Romero ranch house, as well as other parts of the Romero ranch and village center. The San Rafael Church is a stunnin...

About Priscilla Burgers

I was born and raised in the Metropolitan New York City area of New Jersey but have lived in Arizona for forty years. After retiring from high school counseling and teaching thirteen years ago, I discovered the joy of photography and digital art. Although I strive to get the shot right in the camera, I enjoy the artistic and creative aspects of working with image editing programs. Capturing the beauty of God's creation with landscape photography was my first passion. I thank God for his creations and that I am fortunate enough to see and capture a part of them with my camera. I have also come to enjoy many other facets of photography, such as wildlife, American Western, farm, church, and ghost town photography. I take great pleasure...
