This is a fantastic shower curtain. I owned at one time a 1928 American LaFrance almost identical to this one.Loved that fire engine and this great representation is such a joy as a reminder of the one I owned. Nee dmore like this one

Love this shower curtain! It’s brightened our guest bathroom beyond words. We were in Monet’s garden in 2005 and it brings a smile to my face every time I go in there.

This was our first purchase from the site and we love it! It arrived quickly. We wanted something different for the guest bath and this art combined two of my husband's favorite things.The curtain has a quality feel to it and the design is bright I wasn't sure of the color combination at first (orangey red, navy, turquoise and a touch of black) but it works! We've received many compliments and chuckles. My only regret was not being able to fit the words on without using a border - I was unsure of the colors, etc. Bottom line is that we love what we received!!! LOVE it!
This is one of four towers, now in ruins, high up in the Black Mountain in southern France, which was formerly a hide-out for the "Cathars"... a 'breakaway' Christian group, opposed to the strangle-hold of the Church of the 12th century. This is but one of many hiding places, within a 100 mile radius of Carcassonne; which at the time, was the border of France and Spain.
History tells us that these peaceful dissenters, possibly by the thousands, were hunted, tortured, and 'eliminated' through an alliance of Church & State.. the persecution led by Simon de Monfort, from Toulouse.
The 'hunt' for "heretics" went on for decades, through Italy, France & Spain. The group did not resist, nor were they violent in return, but tried to live quiet lives in hidden stone shelters across Southern Europe..
The Cathars were known for teaching people to read..mainly with the Bible.. and they had a dislike of organized religion. They rejected materialism & shared possession...
