I frequently hike in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, which is near Las Vegas, NV (really!!!). I spotted this scene one day as I was hiking on the Kraft Mountain Loop. The high peak visible in the background is known as "Turtlehead." Turtlehead Peak is the only limestone peak in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and the most popular hiking peak. This area has incredible scenery and makes for amazing artwork.
