Description

The inspiration for this mandala came from all of my friends who suffer from chronic, debilitating auto-immune diseases. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and have met many, many amazing people in my journey with this illness. The fighting spirit these folks demonstrate every day in getting up and doing what needs to be done, even when their bodies won't move, really inspires me. Their strength of spirit is gigantic!

I did a soft wash of color for the background of this mandala and then used paint and ink to add in the Kanji symbols for strength and spirit. This mandala is very special to me! It would make a lovely gift to someone who inspires you.
