This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

Richard N. Watkins is a self trained artist, born in1973 in Columbus, Ohio. Rich discovered his love of art by the age of two. Many of his early years were spent beneath his neighbor's oak tree with a ball point pen and a stack of torn down cereal boxes. Through the years Rich has developed an inovative style that blends his unique form of realism with his strange sense of expressionism. Years of artistic expression through a variety of mediums made it clear that Rich's life would be centered upon his passion for art. Rich is now a peofessional artist full-time.
