Using as a wallet
Fairy Stone Park in Patrick County, Virginia is a state park and has some great trails for hiking. Some are pretty challenging but they all have some lovely views. It's especially beautiful in the fall after the leaves change and the temperatures get cooler. They have some nice cabins right on the lake with cozy porches to sit and watch a variety of wildlife -especially if you wake up early :)

I grew up exploring the outdoors here in Southwest Virginia. My family would often go for long drives and end up hiking in the woods where my parents would identify plants and trees and point out animal tracks as they taught us to appreciate the awesomeness of God's creation. I can still remember the first time I saw a pink "Ladies Slipper" growing up out of a pile of leaves deep in a forest. Those adventures with my family still inspire my landscape paintings today but I'm also blessed with a group of friends who love to paint outdoors.
