FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While getting ready to leave Jones Beach for the day as the sun began to set in the background found this secluded area of Jones Beach where the Life Guards had just put up the signs for no more swimming, no Life Guards on duty. Waited ten minutes for some small children to get off of the Life Guard Chair then found the perfect shot with the sun finding it's way through the Life Guard Chair, the mountain of sand built up for the lifeguards to jump down onto, to the left ot the lifeguard chair in the background the famous Robert Moses Tower and to the right the Jones Beach Lifeguard's rescue boat. Took this photograph at approximately 6:00pm. Just as the beach was becoming empty. Jones Beach State Park (colloquially, "Jones Beach") is a state park of the U.S. state of New York. It is located in southern Nassau County, in the hamlet of Wantagh, on Jones Beach Island, a barrier island linked to Long Island by the Meadowbrook State Parkway, Wantagh State Parkway, and Ocean Parkway (Long Island).
The park - 10 mi (16.1 km) in length - is renowned for its great beaches (which, excepting the Zach's Bay,[2][3][4] face the open Atlantic Ocean) and furnishes one of the most popular summer recreational locations for the New York metropolitan area. It is the most popular and heavily visited beach on the East Coast, with an estimated six million visitors per year.[5]"Jones Beach". Long Island Exchange.
Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, an outdoor arena in the park, is a popular musical and concert venue. The park also has a 2 mi (3.2 km) long boardwalk. It once featured dining and catering facilities that were popular sites for private parties and weddings; these have been shut down.
