The sun sets over the sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park near Alamosa, CO. It was so windy that most of the shots were blurry even with my tripod. I took about 350 pictures and this is one of the few that was sharp. The Great Sand Dunes are a very interesting natural feature and a really neat place to visit!
There are four fourteeners visible on the left in this photo: Crestone Peak, Crestone Needle, Kit Carson, and Challenger Point. Mt. Herard is the prominant mountain on the right and closest 13er to the dunes. Photography by Aaron Spong
