Very nice bath towel. It is very large and thick. The picture is so pretty.

Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

Artist's Description

The title sounds like the very poetic "Sunset Sails" of an imagery schooner backlit by a crimson sunset. These are actually cloud creatures that I saw at 8 pm on the evening of Sunday August 28th, 2016. I saw a snail first and then it transformed into a galloping horse soon to be followed by a stallion pulling a chariot. There might have been a camel in there as well - I couldn't be certain. The clouds also spoke of a convective rain event on the way. Showers and thunderstorms would arrive by dawn on Monday. The cirrus of the warm conveyor belt were being pulled southward. This meant that the main trust of this system was way to the north over the Nickle Belt. That is were the bulk of the precipitation would fall. The low level winds were southwesterly and those are what moved my imaginary menagerie along. The clouds always have a story to tell. A fishing boat was just heading home from an excursion. The wake of the boat and the small fishing motor is reflected by the relative calm...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
