Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

I had painted this beach sunset with the sky and clouds and the reflections on the beach and was pleased with the result but it just lacked something and I was reluctant to add the figure but adding the figure made sense of the scene and gave it some scale. It seems more complete with the figure.
I was born in Liverpool in 1957 and have lived most of my life on the Wirral Peninsula. For most of my working life I worked as a mainframe systems developer, but I have never really had a career I wanted to follow so I have moved from job to job. For the last few years I have been working in a car plant. When I was growing up I used to enjoy drawing in pencil and one of my early jobs was as a junior draughtsman which I really enjoyed, but I moved on to something else and somehow ended up in IT. In 1990 I decided I would like to try watercolour painting, I can’t remember why I took it up. I had some of my paintings framed and they hung on the walls of my house. I painted for about 2 years and then I just didn’t seem to be able...
