Description
I CREATED THE SERIES ABOUT FAMOUS SURFING BREAKS AROUND THE WORLD.
Trestles, part of the San Clemente State Beach, is split into five different sections. Lower Trestles, one of the most popular spots, is better-known due to the number of high-profile competitions and contests held there, but all sections are excellent for surfing.
Trestles is hailed as one of the best beaches to surf because of the continuous swells, rocky reef and cobblestoned ocean bottom provided by the local watershed, San Mateo Creek, as well as the overall geography along the West Coast. These conditions make it perfect for surfers, making Trestles known internationally for the caliber of its waves. It's currently the only continental U.S. stop on the Association of Surfing Professional Tour.
