This photo depicts James Field-Mitchell attempting a very hard route at White Falls on Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand. Climbing here is seasonal, as winter sees this location encrusted in snow. Composing this shot was difficult as I was free hanging on a rope which had a tendency to spin me away from the rock at all the worst moments. Changing lenses with the spray from the nearby waterfall was also problematic...
