This is a landscape that can only exist in dreams. You may have experienced this landscape in dreams of your own. However, there is no question that many of us would love to have the chance to explore such a strange world for ourselves. This is a landscape in which a yellow birch rests calmly in the middle of the water. We don’t know how deep the water is. We don’t know how deep the roots will reach. I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
