Pretty awesome

Lisa is a great artist, somewhat in the mode of Grandma Moses.. She is good at depicting a very busy scene in a folksy manner.. The little dachshunds in the foreground sealed the deal because we own one,, Thanks again

Cheap, cheap, cheap. Cheap quality, not price.

The material was sent in a bag and was extremely creased

I am the artist who ordered these items. I was disappointed with the fleece blankets. The image printed crooked on 4 of the 5 blankets and the 'plush fleece' is very different from the plush fleece blankets I ordered previously. No where near as 'plush'. These blankets were unsellable. Also, one of the tapestries showed up with a thread that was pressed right into the fabric which made it unsellable as well. The reason I didn't ship these items back was due to the fact that by the time I received the order, there was insufficient time to return the order in time to meet the '30 day' from the date ordered deadline. This is the first time I've been disappointed with an order featuring my art by way of FAA. Sadly, it makes me hesitant to order again.

Artist's Description

I left the condo before 9 am and noticed a black Canadian Steamship Line laker on its way upriver just approaching the Three Sisters. I arrived at Toltons and by the time I was down at the deck of the boathouse, the same laker was just approaching Crossover Island. I hurriedly sketched in the laker and the details just in time. The wind was brisk out of the northeast and was pushing the laker along at a good clip. The white surf was as prominent on the stern as it was on the bow wave. The entire scene was backlit by the morning sun. The clouds look very different with the light coming from behind the water droplets. Mie scattering can be used to explain the colours. The cirriform cloud on the southeast horizon are indicative of the large low pressure area tracking over New England and which is responsible for the winds in the first place. This cloud was moving to the east with the low while the cumulus and cumulus fractus were moving to the southwest with the winds. There was a lot of...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
