Description
A gentle homage to an old friend, John Denver, who is still greatly missed by so many, I'm sure. "Take Me Home Country Roads" .. just one of the many heart-touching tunes he gave us. Going home .. for so many of us, is no longer an option. For those of us for whom it still is, I urge you to do so. Call Mom and Dad ... stop by .... Maybe someday soon, you'll no longer have the chance.
Photo taken with the Nikon D7000 and the 18-200mm vr Nikkor lens in June of 2013 ... lost and alone on some country road in upper Montgomery County Maryland, USA.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Lois, There is something spiritual about seeing a country road disappearing to somewhere beyond the limit of our eyesight. I find hope and peace in viewing your artwork "Take Me Home". I am also touched by your description, it calls to mind some of my own dear friends who have recently been "called home". Your wonderful digital effects add a special dreamlike quality to the serenity of this scene, while the juxtaposition of your use of Light and Darkness present a dichotomy for the unknown. L/V&F

Doug ... I am humbled by your beautiful description. Ashamed that it's taken me this long to thank you, though at the time you wrote it, I did see your comment and took it to heart. I'm truly honored that a little image of mine brought such thoughts. Thank you very much.

So beautiful Lois!!! It has so much depth, great sky, excellent processing and colors-surreal but it could be almost anywhere.
Lois Bryan replied:
Chris ... thank you so much for your lovely note!!! So glad you enjoyed this one!!

Lois, this is such a truly wonderful work of are. I particularly like the quality the course texture provides, and the perspective of the road and the bright colors are great! A wonderful message also in your description. F/V
