Artist's Description
This is a large gallery wrapped piece that has a very loose style. The image represents how vulnerable a person feels when they take the first step in changing their lives...no matter what that change is.
About Susi LaForsch
Susi LaForsch has a recognizable style that utilizes body language, facial expression, and a bold palette with broad strokes to communicate her message. Large acrylics on canvas are her preferred medium, using the female figure as her way to address issues from addiction to war. Her most recent work has taken a less serious turn and embraced a more hopeful and grateful outlook on life. LaForsch is trying to find the balance between fantasy and reality in this work. Most of all, she hopes to share a connection with the viewer that makes them feel something. The artist was born in New York and raised in Miami. She has lived in the Florida Keys, Gainesville, and now Hernando, Florida...which explains the tropical theme to many...

Thank you Chas... I hope " cubed " is a verb, because I'm sure I've done it to a painting or two myself.
Chas Hauxby
Well composed and balanced work... has sense of impending movement, colour choice and subject reminds me of the cubist piece 'Girl descending staircase' before it was "cubed" if there is such a verb....
John Alexander
So much character in this person... I can only imagine her to be complex. Amazing work once again.
