Great capture

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks so much Lo. :-)

This is amazing, Doris!! He appears to be looking right at you and not bothered at all.

Doris Potter replied:

Yes, almost like he was flirting with me in a way. Such a cute little one.

What an amazing capture!

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks Diane. I was really fortunate to find this little fellow. :-)

Another professional image by you! I had a woodchuck chase me out of his pond weed area once. They will bark & growl. LOL. He was too fast to photograph though. Heh. Peace. Congrats!

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks so much for your kind words. I have never had one bark or growl at me although I have heard their alarm whistle (which quite startled me!). Peace to you too.

This little guy is just great! Your timing is perfect. Like the others too...would have a hard time picking my favorite!

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks so much Kenny! :-)

Oh Wow ,I just Think Mr Chuck Is adorable , great capture ,love it a fav !

Doris Potter replied:

He is a cute little guy isn't he? Thanks for the comment, Kathy!

So cute, Doris! Guess you caught him in the act! LOL

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks Sue. Such cute little guy!

Love the goblin feet - LOL. An awwwww moment:>)

Doris Potter replied:

Funny you mention his feet. I was marvelling over how long the toes are and the way he is delicately holding the flowers.

I love this! So cute!

Doris Potter replied:

I'm glad you like it April. It makes me smile when I see his cute face.

lol! Love it - it is adorable and it does look like he is taking time to smell the flowers!

Doris Potter replied:

You should have seen his siblings! There were four altogether and their antics (wrestling, chasing, pouncing on each other) were priceless!

This is such a fun photo, Doris! It DOES look like he's smelling the flowers :)

Doris Potter replied:

Thanks, that occurred to me later when reviewing the photo.

He/she is so CUTE! Doris, where do you find all of these creatures? Do you live in the middle of a forest?

Doris Potter replied:

Actually much of my photography (including this cute little guy) is done in a cemetery on Mount Royal right in the middle of Montreal. It is a treasure trove of wildlife, beautiful plants and provides a magnificent view of the city.

About Doris Potter

My passion is to express Nature's beauty through photography. I am self-taught and like things simple. Thus, photo manipulation is kept to a minimum. The intrinsic beauty of our natural surroundings does not need enhancing; only revealing. All photos of wildlife have been taken in the wild and involve no staging. My goal is to bring out the character of an animal ... the essence of a leaf ... the spirit of all Nature. "The Sacred is clothed in fur and feathers and scales and skin - It flashes out from shining eyes in darkened woods - And speaks in bird songs and cicada serenades - It touches a place in me where wildness dwells - A long forgotten, hidden place that shivers in sudden resonance."
