The men who work the Chesapeake Bay love the sea, they love the water, and their way of life. The people of Tangier Island are no different. Located in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, the island is isolated, and it seems that the way of life for these people seems as though it hasn’t changed in decades. That is except for the rising waterline that threatens not only their livelihood, but also their homes, and their very island itself.

Theirs is a remarkable lifestyle, on a lovely island, with beautiful run rises and sunsets. It was my joy and pleasure to visit, and to meet some of these fine folks. And the fact that their seafood is nothing short of fantastic, was just an extra bonus.
