thank you Dawn much appreciated

Wow, what fantastic movement -- I love the way the directions of your lines show the direction of movement of different parts of the dancer. Wonderful expression and interesting to read about, as well!

thank you everyone for your kind comments much appreciated

I love this tarantella dance also, also with the tamborine. What strikes me is the extreme twist in her body where her feet move forward but her head is going back. Alas, only for the young! V/F

Beautiful work, Gloria!

Oh, my..... This is incredibly rythmic..... you create such a calm movement here....... love this drawing. F,v. ____ Ana

Really like Paul Freidlund's work. I had been looking for that particular print for a room we were redoing but could not locate it again in time....I did not write down title or artist (photographer). I went through so many sources but could not locate the print. After having ordered another framed photograph, I did find it though it was too late. I already had another framed print. When I saw it was available for a phone case, I decided to purchase it. It's awesome; I really like it. Can distinguish my phone so much more quickly too. Too many black phone cases. Again, Freidlund does fantastic work.

The carol or carole (carola in Italian), a circle or chain dance which incorporates singing, was the dominant Medieval dance form in Europe from at least the 12th through the 14th centuries. This form of dance was found in Italy as well and although Dante has a few fleeting references to dance, it is Dante's contemporary Giovanni del Virgilio (floruit 1319-1327) who gives us the earliest mention of Italian folk dance. He describes a group of women leaving a church in Bologna at the festa of San Giovanni; they form a circle with the leader singing the first stanza at the end of which the dancers stop and, dropping hands, sing the refrain. The circle then reforms and the leader goes on to the next stanza.[1] The term tarantella groups a number of...
