The original is painted on 3/4 inch board prepared with watercolor ground and then sprayed for protection, no glass needed. Just having come back from a trip to the Tuscany region of Italy, I came across this scene in Siena in the open market square. Painted from the photo reference of it.

I am an artist and watercolor instructor. I love all things to do with art. In the third grade, my teacher admired a crayon drawing I made of a swan and lily pads.
