Metal Print Reviews (3001)

Average Rating (4.92 Stars):

The art is only surpassed by the artist. A lit-from-within human of the exquisite kind! She bleeds on the world and magic grows in its place!

Let me preface this by saying I've purchased multiple metal prints from Fine Art America in the past and have not had any issues. Unfortunately I had one with this metal print. The photo content itself is great - the artist did a great job capturing Broken Top. it's the Fine Art America metal print manufacturing process and unresponsive customer service that gets low marks. When I received it (packaged with another metal print which was just fine) this had a pinpoint dent in the back of the metal which caused a point defect to protrude in an noticeable spot. The upper left corner of the frame was bent as well. Packaging was not dented at all, and the other metal print which I got was undamaged as well, so I can only conclude this happened during the manufacturing process. I sent a web form to customer service nearly 3 weeks ago with extensive pictures about this. I never got a response. Last week I tried started the automated returns process (which requires me to ship back the defective print at my expense which I read on the forums that damaged prints can be replaced free of charge) only to find out it needed to be received in 2 days because I was up against the 30 day limit. I shouldn't have waited so long to get a response, and/or should have been e-mailing customer support daily to get this resolved. In an ideal world Fine Art America would have sent me a replacement metal print and I would have fawned over the customer service and rated this 5 stars. Instead I have a metal print which I can't really hang and am out $300, and the artist unfairly gets a 1 star review. Not their fault Fine Art America messed this one up.

Picture looks great on the wall -- you can even pick out the Mt. Bachelor chair lifts in the photo.

Artist's Description

I missed when those were babies, but I still got them before they got to be fully grown. We have a local park and I have noticed a couple of swans nesting, but last year never saw the babies and this year someone mentioned to me that the babies have been seen. When we finally saw them, they were smaller than this, but my camera decided to stay home, so next time the mistake corrected and due to couple of adjustments, the camera was in the car whether it liked it or not. Unfortunately, but still great, they grew a bit more, but still smaller than their parents. Couldn't tell you if they are boys or girls, but one things is for sure, they are teenage siblings and twins (or in their case quints to 3 more of their kind).

About Jake Danishevsky

“What I like about taking a “perfect” shot is that frozen moment in time. That perfect combination of beauty and uniqueness is what draws me to the shots that I like the most. Why wildlife? I enjoy taking pictures of wildlife for several reasons. It is challenging, fun and the best part, animals do not complain about the shot. They never dismiss a shot because of how their hair or make up is not to their liking. On the more serious note, I do enjoy wildlife shots, because of the unpredictable behavior of various species and how every shot has a life of it’s own. One of the main reasons, why I photograph is to capture that one split second and the shot tells the story. There is no before nor after, but just one at a time perfect...
