Description
The Tel Aviv shoreline on a beautiful sunny day with a fantastic array of clouds above and the turquoise Mediterranean sea.
What a great sandwich scene of the city at the springtime season.
This peace of shore is at the north point of Jaffa, the city that has historically served as a port city for pilgrims heading to Jerusalem.
It is the major entry point to Israel by sea, and therefore through the history, this peace of land was always very desired and knew conquerors and rulers from all over the world. All realized the military importance of the area and each conquered it in order to gain control and approach to the Holy Land of Israel.
For centuries, the control of the area passed from one kingdom to another. Jaffa had been conquered more than than 20 times through this period of 3000 years. A very desired control point eventually.
Just a bit south to this point, its the old port of Jaffa, that claims to be the oldest port in the world, mentioned several times in the bible and its history is spanning over 3000 years.
