About Carl Purcell
I invite you into my world. My camera has been a passport to adventure. It has taken me to over 100 countries and allowed me to span continents at the speed of sound aboard the Concorde. It has unlocked doors of both ancient castles in Europe and mud huts on the edge of the Sahara. I have photographed presidents and marched with Martin Luther King for civil rights. I invite you to share my adventures through my photographs on this site. Currently I have 14275 images on Fine Art America. These are pictures frozen in time. There is a sense of timeless mystery about this photograph, Carl - the contrasts of light, shade and dark are terrific. Bright Blessings

Thanks George: The man with the turban is a guide at the Temple of Horus. He uses the reflector to illuminate the hieroglyphs on the wall. At a certain hour the shaft of sunlight comes through an opening in the ceiling. I like your ballerina images, but my favorite is the woman with the red earring. It reminds me of the Vermeer painting of a woman with a pearl earring.
