Description
Named for its color and the resemblance of its petal to a woman's sunbonnet, the bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas. It blooms in the early spring and can be readily found in fields and along the roadsides throughout central and south Texas.
Indian paintbrush, sometimes called Scarlet paint brush, is one of Texas' most beautiful flowers. They vary in color from orange, and scarlet to cream and yellow. There are several species of paintbrush. They are often found in fields with bluebonnets.
