This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

I am very pleased with the quality of the product, and the gift recipient loved it and brought them to tears as it was a sentimental gift.

About David and Carol Kelly
Thank you for visiting our site. We have been married 58 years and are long time partners in our art as well as life. Most of the beautiful floral and butterfly images are from Carol's camera while most of the rest are from David's. The making of a photographic image requires more than the click of a shutter. In the days of film photography we spent many hours in the chemical darkroom to make the negative more than just a "picture". The current digital darkroom allows far more control and artistic development for the original digital file to come to life as art.You will find in our galleries realistic presentations, simulated paintings and outright digital abstracts. We thank you very much for taking the time to look at our images.

In about 70 or 71 Bevo was hidden for a few days at the Plant Nursery at Travis State School when word came that the Aggies "was lookin" for him. My dad was the program director for that work program after being a cattleman for many years. That year the Silver Spurs wanted to give Bevo a special birthday present... They came to dad for a favor a second time, to fine him the perfect present, which turned out to be a VERY OLD MILK COW. I proudly helped find the present from one of our friends then went with Dad to the game and we sat in our truck and trailor with the cow in the end zone until half-time. The Silver Spurs came and led the Cow to BEVO in mid-field and presented her to him. They just stood there for a minute or so until the crowd's cheers died down. Then she was led back to us and we watched the rest of the game from our treasured "seats" which was two folding chairs in the bed of dad's truck... That was the last UT Game I went to but I must admit that if cut,, I would surely bleed ORANGE. Thanks for the Memory kick start. Your work is amazing and brings Texas back to me even while I live WAY OVER HERE in Louisiana. (I am known to walk around in Orange and White just to T these LSU fans Off.)
David and Carol Kelly replied:
Great story. Lol. Carol's brother is an Aggie grad and our son graduated from UT. They have had a little rivelry going on in the past. Thanks for the comments.
