This original gouache on 140 lb. rough paper is a still life that I painted during a difficult time and stuck away. In this present moment, the image reminds me of a friend who once shared the following: “There was a time I thought my glass was half empty, a time when I thought my glass was half full but now, at this moment, I am grateful for the very glass itself!” And, so am I.
Gratitude also extends to the Living water which fills my glass to nourish my spirit, mind and body. I have since become aware of and embraced Masaru Emoto’s dedicated 15+ year, socio-scientific-high resolution, photo-microscopic study’s definition of WATER as living: “Love and Gratitude”. I venerate the Beauty of water’s crystalline Life sourcing properties with the elegance of man made beauty found in this vintage, footed paper thin crystal glass.
