I love the painting, and fabric! I’ve always had Border Collies, so they are perfect for me! The insert stuffing is a little lumpy. But i am very satisfied.
This simple and cheerful sumi-e bird calls for attention with vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange. Perched on a piece of bamboo, and singing, I think the bird is saying "Thank you."

This is not, of course, a traditional sumi-e, or ink wash painting, as I have used watercolor paints and paper, as opposed to ink and rice paper. Truly, it is more inspired by such works.
