This is a one-of-a-kind piece of crocheted art created entirely by hand to form an illustration of the circle of life, the above and below, decay feeding the living, and time. It features a rainbow trout and the fish's skeleton, oaks in summer and autumn, bees feasting at native flowers of the Bay Area, and California mushrooms.
I'm very slowly working on a lifelong project: I'm trying to draw every one of the approximately 5,000 named mammal species in the world.
